Our Story

Hi Friends! My name is JJ Lee and I am a cosmetic technology program manager by day and a mask maker between Zoom calls. My love for Public Health actually brought me to NYC in order to pursue a masters in Biostatistics at Columbia University. I wanted to make sure my friends, family, and those in need have the option to protect others and feel protected during these difficult times. I am making face masks for $6 each plus shipping. The cost is for materials only. For each order, I am donating to essential workers who keep our community going.

If you are looking for other ways to contribute, you can join the United Mask Collective as a mask making contributor, donate fabric, or simply spread the word (but hopefully at least 6 ft apart).

Lastly, if you are a NYC organization or business in search of masks for your essential workers, please send us a note in the Contact Us section.

This is our winning, cotton-flannel mask. It includes a pocket for filters (suggested: tissues, napkins, coffee filter, towel swatches). Our testing is done with a Tampo tissue filter. We have ribbon ties and elastic based on availability.
